D&L Press Identity   In Their Words

D&L Press came to OVO with a 50 year, family heritage in commercial printing. Due to both economic downturn and shifting technologies, customer needs were dramatically altering the printing landscape and D&L found itself in a difficult position: adapt or disappear. Thankfully, OVO was able to fashion a new positioning and identity which honored their heritage while addressing current market demands. The imaginative “paper plane” symbol provided a platform for the development of innovative pre-fab printing solutions that were anything but “standard,” allowing them to better articulate their unique niche between typically exclusive promises of quality and creativity or economy.

“We have printed for OVO for some years now and have seen the quality of work they have given so many companies. When we came to OVO, we came with lots of problems and few ideas to solve them. As they questioned who we were, what we did and where we were going, the process transformed into something much more than a simple “face-lift” rebrand. They helped us define what it was that we were aiming for and even provided direction in changing some of our product offerings. We have a new grasp on relevance in our market, and are grateful to OVO for their invaluable contribution to our company.”

Operations Manager, D&L

Where Brands Are Born
Where Brands Are Born

OVO recently released a commemorative book documenting our first four years in business. Thanks to all who made the May 7th release party a memorable celebration, and to our clients who have made this a wonderful four years.

The book was printed on Gruppo Cordenons Perlé Blanc, a sparkling white sheet from a small, family-owned paper company in Milan, founded circa 1630.

Wood-grain embossed cover is from Gmund. All work photographed by Dean Wilder with a few notable exceptions. OVO portraits courtesy of Jeff Newton. Design by OVO, of course.
