OVO

“OVO’s solution, based upon the modernist architectural features of the building itself, provided a neutral shell for communication...”

Phoenix Art Museum

The Phoenix Art Museum touts itself as “The Southwest’s premier 203,000- square foot destination for world-class visual arts.” Popular exhibitions have featured artists such as Rembrandt, Norman Rockwell, Annie Leibowitz, and Monet. And the list goes on. Since 1959, The Phoenix Art Museum has been the home of an outstanding collection of more than 18,000 works of American, Asian, European, Latin American, Western American, modern and contemporary art, and fashion design.

Largely dependent on traveling world-class exhibitions for operational revenue, the museum came to OVO in need of a strategic design solution that enabled the promotion of these quite different exhibitions while porting visual equity back to the museum. OVO’s solution, based upon the modernist architectural features of the building itself, provided a neutral shell for communication across a variety of media. The solution heavily promotes the timbre of each unique exhibition, but sets the visual framework as distinctly “The Phoenix Art Museum.”

Client Testimonial

“Devilishly creative and immensely easy to work with, the team at OVO has been a hit with the marketing department at Phoenix Art Museum. It’s not often that you find a creative team that can balance imagination with practicality and then go on to deliver implementable results in record time. Highly recommended.”
